- The 2008 Wood Wind Golf Club Senior League is a twice a week 18-hole choose-up beginning April 7th and finishing October 6th & 9th with a year-end tournament.
- Play days are Monday’s and Thursday’s with a few exceptions due to outings at the golf course.
- Seniors may signup for league anytime throughout the season. The senior league is a come when you can format. There are no requirements for the amount of times that you play.
- A one-time, yearly fee of $20.00 for awards and banquet must be paid to participate. A $10.00 daily prize fund will be collected each time you play. An additional $2.00 for a closest to the pin and skins game is optional.
- A Green fee including cart of $25.00 will be collected in the golf shop. A limited membership of $750.00 is good Monday – Thursday before 1:00 PM. Add an unlimited cart fee for $200.00 (riders must pay own cart fee). Playing 38 times pays for your membership.
- Spring tee-times start at 10:00 a.m. and summer tee-times begin at 8:30 a.m.
- The format for the choose-up is a modified stableford scoring system. Teams will be 2, 3, or 4-man teams based on the number of players. Using a league handicap you receive: Eagle = 4 points, Birdie = 3 points, Par = 2 points, bogey = 1 point, Pickup on double bogey.
- Daily prizes: The daily pot (based on number of players) will be split into thirds. Winners will be based on total points; 1/3 for the front nine, 1/3 for the back nine, and 1/3 for the 18 hole total. No player or team may win more than 2/3 of the prize money.
- Tees: 70+ may play the blue, gold, or white tees.
- 60 – 69 may play the blue or gold tees.
- 55 – 59 must play the blue tees.
Wood Wind Golf Club is committed to running organized and structured leagues and events. We will promote the Senior League on our website and at the course to increase the participation of the league. With anticipated growth to the Senior League, we will need to make one change for 2008. Players must sign-up at least one day prior to the event. Example: if you would like to play on April 11th, you must sign-up by 4:30 PM April 10th. The sign-up sheets will be available two weeks prior to the play day so you have ample time to put your name on the list for any specific day you wish to play. This change will give your league organizers time to make groups before you arrive to play.
