Caddy Program Print E-mail

Wood Wind Golf Club in Westfield, Indiana
The Caddy Program was established in May 2009, with an emphasis on providing training of the principles of caddying to young men and women while teaching many of life’s important lessons- communication, responsibility, hard work, proactivity, and more.  All throughout the process, lessons on all facets of becoming a quality caddy are provided as well.

Wood Wind caddies will become available to golfers on Saturday June 2nd, 2012.  The caddy program will continue to be utilized every Saturday and Sunday throughout the golf season. The golfer will have the choice of a cart or caddie on the weekends before 11:00 am.  Caddies are not guaranteed to get out on the course every time they are in attendance as caddies are assigned to a player only when requested. The caddie will perform responsibilities including locating golf balls, cleaning golf clubs and golf balls, raking bunkers, fixing ball marks, replacing divots, tending the pin, and any additional services the golfer may need to provide a great golf experience. Caddies must be at least 13 years of age and be able to carry up to 50 lbs. for 18 holes.

Prior to the start of the season, caddies will be required to participate in one or more training sessions to ensure a positive golfing experience for Wood Wind golfers. 2012 Caddie Training dates TBD.

All potential caddies must attend one of these manadatory sessions.  Even if you have caddied in the past, you must attend one session.  New caddies may want to attend two or more sessions.
