Level 1 clinics are for beginning golfers with very little or no experience. Level 1 clinics will focus on the BASIC FUNdamentals of the set-up and swing. All areas of the game will be covered, including putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and course etiquette. Juniors who complete a Level 1 clinic will gain the skills necessary to practice on the range and play a few holes on the course, from 100-150 yards, with adult guidance. Level 2 Intermediate Players Available Level 2 Clinics: Level 2 clinics are for junior golfers with previous instruction experience. These golfers are expected to have an understanding of the basic fundamentals of the set-up and swing, although they may not have mastered the skills yet. The clinics at this level will go into more detail on each area of the game, including short game and full swing. This group will also focus on shots in the scoring zone—30 yards and in. Level 2 golfers should have their own golf clubs or a set to share with a sibling/friend in the same clinic and should be capable of carrying their own bag to the range. Level 3 Advanced Players Available Level 3 Clinics: Level 3 golfers are experienced golfers who can play 9 holes of golf from the forward set of tees. This level works on improving short game and full swing shots and learning how to hit all the clubs in the bag, including specialty clubs such as hybrids and wedges. The goal for level 3 is to prepare for tournament golf and learn how to take advantage of shots landing in the scoring zone. Level 3+ Advanced and tournament players Available Level 3+ Clinics: Level 3+ is for junior golfers who are actively playing competitive golf, whether for a team or in individual junior tournaments. This level will take a close look at each golfer’s swing with V1 Video analysis. The use of technology including the SAM PuttLab and TrackMan launch monitor will assist the player in understanding their golf clubs and how they fit their own game. Level 3+ golfers should be able to play 9 holes carrying their own bag, in about 2 ½ hours. They should also have a solid understanding of course rules and etiquette. After completing a Level 3+ session, juniors will know where their strengths and weaknesses are and learn how to practice to improve. |
